Lewis Smith & Co. handled a record number of tax returns this year
Despite the economic doldrums Lewis Smith & Co. the Dudley based chartered accounts have beaten all records in the number of tax returns processed ahead of the January deadline.
Lewis Smith & Co. Director Andrew Smith commented:
“2010 saw us take on a lot of new clients, both large and small, which considerably increased our customer base. It was ‘all hands to the pumps’ to get all of the paperwork done but yet again we succeeded in submitting everybody’s return ahead of the cut off point: even the late comers!”
The company is now looking forward to a further improvement in business during 2011, despite the spending cuts which are due to kick in. However they aren’t complacent.
Andrew Smith’s has this advice:
“Keep tight control of your finances in 2011. There are strong signs of recovery in the private sector but you need to show some caution on investment and make sure there are reserves to cover the consequences of cuts in public sector spending.”
