Idiots at Home in training for The 3 Peaks Challenge
Lewis Smith & Co. are delighted to be supporting a charity fundraising venture being organised by some friends of the practice.
The 6 members of “Idiots at Home” decided that they would forego the normal male response to hitting a mid-life crisis (sports cars, wigs and worse) and raise money for worthy causes.
The guys are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge on June 8. This formidable event involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. Judging by the picture a significant amount of last minute training is going to be required.
Idiots at Home have organised some preliminary fund raisers too. Their next event is a race night on Saturday May 17 at Old Hill Cricket Club. Our very own Andrew Smith will be appearing in his guise as guitarist with local band Madads to provide the entertainment – whether the audience will agree with that description is not clear. Tickets cost £7.50 and include a fish and chips supper.
It’s easy to make a donation to Idiots at Home. Just visit their Virgin Money Giving page.
