Happy Chrstmas from Lewis Smith & Co.

Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year from Lewis Smith & Co.

2010 seems to have been a year of slow but steady recovery for Black Country businesses. The recovery process isn’t as fast as any of us would like but enough of our clients have been reporting an improvement for us to believe that we are over the worst and that better time are ahead of us in 2011.

A couple of examples are that, as we recently reported, Central Supplies (Brierley Hill) have just moved into a new purpose built depot in response to major growth in the business. At much the same time our IT support provider and customer JamesCash.co.uk have also moved into new premises locally in order to improve their ability to service clients both in the West Midlands and beyond.

The fact that we are preparing ourselves for another record breaking set of tax return preparations also indicates that all of you have been very busy!

Which reminds us…You need to get your books to us as soon as possible to make sure we can send in your return to the revenue before the end of January deadline. We have never let anybody down so far but the laws of space and time dictate that if you give us your information after the 31st then your return will be late and there are financial penalties from the tax man if it is.

Oh and remember that the VAT rate rises on January 4th.

Have a great Christmas and let’s hope that we all have a very prosperous New Year.

Best wishes from everybody at Lewis Smith & Co.
